These rules say when a payment for a SaaS or app listing, or an annual deal purchase on TopSlash, can be refunded and when it cannot. They are part of the Terms of Service. There are two payment relationships on TopSlash, and they have different rules:
- Payments to us (Envol, Inc.): advertising rank, one-off campaign credits and recurring publication plans. Sections 1 to 6.
- Subscription payments to a vendor or app store: deal purchases. Section 7.
1. Placement payments are final
A placement payment buys advertising position on a public leaderboard, and the position is delivered the moment Stripe confirms the payment. For that reason, placement payments are final. We do not refund a placement payment except in the three cases in Section 2.
In particular, we do not refund a placement payment because:
- You were outbid, or your position changed after you paid. Positions change whenever someone else pays. That is how the board works.
- You changed your mind, or paid more than you meant to.
- Your listing got less traffic, fewer clicks, or fewer sales than you hoped. Placement buys position, not results.
- Your listing was unpublished or your account was banned for a policy violation that you caused, including a false price, a prohibited product, a website you did not have authority to list, or any other breach of the Listing Policy or the Terms of Service.
- You unpublished your own listing.
2. The only exceptions
We refund a placement payment only in these cases:
- Fraud or unauthorized card use. The payment was made with a card or account that was not authorized to be used, as confirmed by Stripe's fraud tools, by a bank dispute, or by our verification of your report. Refund: the full payment. We may also unpublish the listing that received it.
- Platform technical error. Our system charged you twice for the same selection, charged the wrong amount, or recorded the payment to the wrong listing. Refund: the erroneous part (for example, the duplicate charge).
- Placement not delivered because of our error, or listing wrongly removed within 7 days. If our records establish that a platform failure prevented the paid position from appearing after Stripe confirmed payment, or that we removed the listing within 7 days because of a platform or verification error not attributable to you, we refund the affected placement payment in full.
No other case qualifies. Refunds under these rules are decided by an administrator and go back to the original payment method through Stripe.
Nothing in these rules excludes a refund, cancellation, chargeback, or other remedy that applicable law says cannot be excluded.
3. What a refund does to the board
When Stripe confirms a refund, the refunded amount is removed from your listing's current total, your position is recomputed, and the Complete Bid History shows a reversal row. Today and This Week boards are not changed, because the payment did happen inside that period. The Current and All Time totals are reduced. We email you the amount, the reason category, and your new total.
4. Disputes and chargebacks on placement payments
If you dispute a placement payment with your bank and the dispute is decided against us, the disputed amount is reversed from your total in the same way as a refund. If you dispute a valid placement payment, we may unpublish your listings and refuse future placement payments from you. Please contact us promptly so we can investigate. This does not require you to postpone a bank dispute, miss a deadline or waive a mandatory right.
5. Campaign credits, subscriptions and cancellation
Campaign and ranking purchases have different effects. A campaign credit buys 30 days of eligible promotion from publication or extension. A ranking payment supplies the stated contribution to one entry. Ordinary renewal charges add no rank. The Vendor Terms state the one-off, monthly, annual and included-credit rules.
Canceling a recurring TopSlash plan stops its next charge without a cancellation penalty. It does not cancel a published campaign's paid period, remove unused purchased credits, or remove an annual plan's already-paid future monthly allocations. Unused subscription allocations expire at their disclosed monthly boundaries and do not roll over. Cancellation itself is not a refund request. Pausing or deleting a campaign does not cancel a recurring TopSlash plan; cancel that plan separately in Credits & billing or request cancellation through support. Pausing does not extend the campaign period. Voluntarily deleting a published campaign does not restore its used credit or undo an already delivered rank contribution.
For a duplicate or incorrect campaign charge, or a paid credit or promotional period we failed to provide, contact us for correction or refund of the undelivered or erroneous part. Report unauthorized charges promptly. Low traffic, unused claims and fewer purchases than hoped do not show that the advertising service was undelivered. Mandatory legal remedies remain available.
A refund or lost payment dispute can reverse the corresponding rank contribution or unused campaign entitlement. It does not erase purchase history or cancel a buyer's subscription with a vendor. Earlier orders retain their originally accepted rights, including any earned permanent deal-access entitlement. Fraud restrictions and moderation remain applicable.
6. How to request a refund from us
- Email support@topslash.app from the email address on your account. Subject: "Refund request".
- Include: the listing URL on TopSlash, the date and amount of the payment, the Stripe receipt number if you have it, and the problem and requested remedy (a ranking payment under Section 2 or a campaign order under Section 5).
- Timing. Send technical-error and wrongful-removal requests within 30 days of the payment. Report unauthorized use as soon as you notice it; we also act on Stripe's own fraud signals without a request.
- We reply within 5 business days. If we approve, the refund is sent through Stripe to the original payment method, and usually reaches your bank within 5 to 10 business days.
7. Deal purchases: the vendor's policy applies
A connected subscription payment goes directly through the vendor's Stripe account. A native app subscription is purchased through Apple or Google. TopSlash does not collect those subscription proceeds and does not issue refunds for those charges.
- Request a connected purchase refund from the vendor under the displayed refund policy and mandatory law. For native purchases, use the applicable store refund process and contact the vendor about the product.
- If the vendor does not respond or honor its obligations, report it to us. We can assist with our records and may pause or remove its offers. We cannot guarantee a refund outcome.
- Contact the vendor or store promptly. This does not require you to postpone a bank dispute, miss a deadline or waive any right.
- A connected refund reported by Stripe updates the transaction and applicable purchase counters. It does not automatically replenish campaign inventory.
- A native link claim is not a payment. Not using a claimed link does not create a subscription refund or automatically restore the claim allocation.
8. Publication credits are not money balances
Vendor publication credits are limited rights to advertising services, not cash balances, buyer store credit or a means to buy subscriptions. We do not substitute them for an approved monetary refund. Refunds go to the original payment method where supported and legally required.
