You reached this page from the footer, from a listing, or from a deal page. This page explains, in plain words, what a paid position for a SaaS or app on TopSlash is and what it is not.
1. Every ordinary position on the leaderboard is paid
The TopSlash leaderboard is a paid board. Every ordinary numbered position is bought. The only non-cash exception is the clearly disclosed $1 Laeli launch seed described in Section 5. A founder's first confirmed Paid Rank payment publishes the verified listing, and all-time order follows the rank contribution attributed to each entry, highest first — which is why each ranked row shows its position number beside the "paid total" that put it there. Historical listings that have paid nothing may appear below the ranked block, labeled "Unranked", newest first. This page is available through Terms & policies in the site footer.
2. Payment, not quality, decides the order
The founder in position #1 is there because that founder's cumulative placement total is the highest. That is the only reason. Being #1 does not mean the product is the best, the most popular, the most trusted, or recommended by us. We do not rank by quality, reviews, ratings, sales, or any editorial judgment.
3. What a paid position is not
The Paid Rank portion of a founder payment buys a position on this leaderboard. Campaign promotion is separately described in Section 6. A paid rank does not buy:
- Any guaranteed quantity of clicks or visitors. Placement provides leaderboard position only; traffic and results are not promised.
- Reviews, ratings, a score or independently verified access. Buyer feedback, where available, is separate.
- Engagement, followers, or social proof.
- A recommendation, a "best of" label, or a quality signal of any kind.
- Any guaranteed result.
We do not test the products listed. Every published listing passed our automated safety and content checks; that is all "verification passed" means.
4. How to tell paid from unpaid
- Apart from the disclosed Laeli launch seed, a row with a position number on the leaderboard has paid for that position. Each ranked row shows the "paid total" that bought it before a visitor follows the listing.
- A row labeled "Unranked" has no confirmed Paid Rank total. It is a historical or administratively corrected listing, not a paid position.
- The Deals catalog displays the eligible offers and the selected sort or category. Its order is separate from paid ranking. Where a paid rank is shown, it is labeled as paid advertising; a displayed discount is not a quality recommendation.
- We never use the words "recommended", "best", "top pick", "featured", or "sponsored" for paid positions, and we never mix paid positions into an unpaid list without the badge.
- The full history of every payment and every position change is public and permanent on the Complete Bid History page.
5. The Laeli seed
The #1 position at launch was seeded by Laeli at $1. Laeli is operated by the founder of TopSlash. Its listing carries the disclosure "Operated by the marketplace founder · Launch seed listing." The $1 is a seed credit, not a Stripe payment, and it is shown as such in the bid history. It is excluded from our revenue counters. Laeli has no deal on TopSlash.
6. Deal access and vendor sales
Vendors pay TopSlash for listing, ranking and eligible 30-day campaign services. They supply the product, prices, offer terms and native redemption links. Ordinary advertisers are independent businesses, not TopSlash partners. Buyers pay no TopSlash fee to obtain an offer link, and TopSlash takes no subscription-sale commission in this model.
A free product can rank. Normal free access is not a discounted listing. A free download or basic tier may coexist with a genuine percentage reduction on a separate paid annual premium plan. Vendors choose their supported discounts; 60%, 40% and 25% are editable suggestions, not a compulsory schedule.
Connected annual purchases use the vendor's Stripe account. Supported native app offers lead to the store or vendor app purchase flow. Confirmed payments and native link claims have separate counters; a link claim is not a store purchase or verified product access.
Paid rank and campaign inventory are independent. Ordinary campaign renewal adds no rank; rank survives campaign expiry and exhaustion. One-off credits and optional recurring allocations fund campaigns under the Vendor Terms, without guaranteeing sales or a fixed position.
7. What we never do
No fake urgency, no fake countdowns, no fake "people viewing" numbers, no fake counters, no hidden sponsorship. Live transaction and activity counters use the relevant recorded activity. Screens marked as previews use fictional products and sample figures, which are not presented as actual payments or savings. Counter definitions are published at About: counter definitions. Buyers pay no TopSlash claim fee. Vendor publication credits buy advertising periods, not subscriptions or cash. Native allocations are counted when a link is issued, even if it is never used, and are labeled accordingly.
8. Share cards and medals
Share rank cards display a paid-ranking snapshot with its date. Gold, silver and bronze medals identify the first three positions at that snapshot; they are not quality awards, verification badges or endorsements. A shared deal can later expire, sell out or pause. Follow its current page for the latest availability and terms. Sharing does not buy additional rank or guarantee traffic.
9. The full rules
The exact price ladder, the tie rule, the period boards, and what happens during checkout are in the Ranking Rules. When and how a placement payment can be refunded is in the Refund & Finality Rules. Questions: support@topslash.app.
